BARNDOOR PRODUCTIONS’ 20TH SEASON

Our 20th anniversary!
2014/2015

MARK TWAIN'S PATENT
SCRAPBOOK

The wit, wisdom and writings of
Samuel L. Clemens
as performed by David Jacklin

Oct.  17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26 2014

A revival of one of our best received shows from years past.  Our own David Jacklin's one-man tribute to the great Mark Twain has been called "a gem". The writings and humour of the man who invented modern literature are still as entertaining today as they were more than a century ago.

David first donned his Twain suit 38 years ago, and he's still going -- Twain lives again in the fall of 2015 for some special performances.

Front of House: Janice Jacklin, Nancy Moxon,
Jeanne Jenner and the

Our zany, silly, informative and just plain fun production for 2013 returned for another gut-busting run.  This show is simply the most fun you can have about the holiday season.

Refereed, by Janice Jacklin, it was basically David Bird, Joe Laxton and David Jacklin running amok for an hour and a half!

ASSISTED LIVING

By Winnie Holzman and Paul Dooley

June 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 2015

An unexpected treat to begin the summer.  This story of disconnection, connection and the help we all need in life seemed to touch a real cord with people.

"The best show put on in Perth in many, MANY years!"  said one patron; "I've seen four plays in the last two weeks.  Their's were here -- yours was HERE!" said another.

And it was the first time that David and Janice Jacklin have taken the stage together since Ghost Stories in 1992!

Assisted Living
The Merchant of Venice

THE MERCHANT OF VENICE

by William Shakespeare

July 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 Aug.  1, 2 2015

What a way to end our 20th Anniversary Season!
A return to the Bard -- one of his greatest scripts -- and a production that was filled with fun, poetry, colour and costumes.

"You've outdone yourself!" was the first comment on opening night.

Tremendous performances -- "Shylock's performance alone was worth the price of admission!" from a patron -- and huge energy kept the play moving along at record pace.

Marilyn Bird's original costumes glittered, sparkled, swept and flowed.

All in all, very satisfying!
